Singer was born on the 26th of November 1986 in Santa Monica California United States of America. She is the daughter of her father Vincenzo and mom Valerie Barba. Her family relocated into Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was 6 years old. When she arrived in New Jersey, she finished her studies through Red Bank Catholic High School. After that, she went to Catholic University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in architecture. She began playing violin at the age four, and became known as Violin Girl. Performances by her led to the use of her nickname. She was also instrumental teacher to the youngsters in the area. She performed Free beginning in 1976 during her audition to America Idol's 6th season when she was the age of 19. But she was ejected from the show following her achievement of 16th place.
