Columbia Police Department officers had searched for Sims throughout the week of Christmas however, they were unable find him. They have arrested Taylor Wardlaw and charged him with accessory following the murder incident related to Sims the death of. According to the authorities, Eddie Brown (aged 30) has been accused of being an accessory in the murder. Sims 26, a 26-year-old male was last seen by Columbia on Dec. 20, at Ervin Street. Police believe that Sims was the girlfriend of Wardlaw was missing since December. 22. On Wednesday, the corpse was discovered on Monticello Road. Naida Rutherford Coroner of Richland County confirmed the body belonged to Sims. Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook says Wardlaw has been charged with murder and possessing guns during a violent murder. Sims died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the police. Sims was shot multiple times. Columbia Police Department released the following tweet asking the community for assistance.
